There was a man from Sullivan, Maine. Though few at first knew this fellow's name. Graham Platner threw his hat in the ring. A voice for the Mainers, and the change he may bring. He stood for the renters, abused by the greed. Of out-of-state owners who made locals bleed. He promised as Senator, acting for Maine. To take on the forces that cause us such pain. He said he'd raise wages, long overdue. Since the establishment tightened inflation's noose. He'd tax all the wealthy for Medicare-for-All. As our healthcare system needs a major overhaul. A veteran of wars, having served overseas. He's seen the true horror of waging all these. No more pointless wars killing innocent ones. No more funding Israeli genocides with missiles or guns. He'd stop our politicians from being bought. And crush all the schemes that the donors have plot. He won the primary with record-high digits. A success that the handlers were forced to prohibit. They crafted a scandal to take the man down. To keep their own status quo safe and sound. And so they ensured that this patriot fell. And silenced the voice that we needed to swell.
